Wear Red for Pentecost Sunday
Sunday, May 23, 10:15 AM
Pentecost Sunday is the recognition and celebration of the outpouring of love as the Holy Spiit descended upon the early believers. The color red symbolizes the tongues of flame in which the Holy Spirit descended on the early church's first Pentecost and the blood of the first martyrs who held firm to the true faith even at the cost of their lives. Everyone is encourage to wear the color red in some way--in the form of jewelry, ribbons, scarves and clothing to church on Pentecost Sunday, May 23.

One Great Hour of Sharing
sharing resources, changing liveSince 1949, Presbyterians have joined with millions of other Christians through One Great Hour of Sharing to share God’s love with people experiencing need. Our gifts support ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and resettlement, and community development that help people find safe refuge, start new lives and work together to strengthen their families and communities.
Where does the money go?
The Presbyterian
Hunger Program receives 36 percent of undesignated One Great Hour of Sharing
gifts, while the Self-Development of People
and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
